Policies

Booking with Starbright Entertainment LLC indicates acceptance of and agreement with the following policies and contractual provisions.

A 50% deposit of the total booking fee (including customizations) is required to reserve your date, time, and characters. The total remaining balance is due upon completion of the booking. 

Starbright Entertainment LLC only charges for the number of retail goods/customizations used at the event (for example, goodie bags and guest coronation tiaras/crowns). The final count used is determined by report of Starbright Entertainment LLC cast members. Customer cancellation of a booked customization in whole is subject to Starbright Entertainment LLC’s cancellation policies.

Any discounts, coupons, or promotional codes must be communicated/applied at the time of booking.

Deposits and Payments


For cancellations made by the client 21 or more days before the event date, a refund of the deposit will be issued.

For client cancellations made fewer than 21 days before the event date, no deposit refund will be issued.

Package downgrades, cancellation of customizations, and rescheduling are subject to these same cancellation terms.

For outdoor events, please have a backup plan in case of inclement weather such as rain, snow, or excessive heat. We do not refund deposits for outdoor events canceled by the client due to weather.

We understand that illness happens. If you must reschedule your event due to illness, we will work with you to reschedule your event on a mutually agreed upon time/day within 6 weeks of your original event date and transfer your balance.

Client Cancellations


If the client is hosting the event at a 3rd party venue (such an indoor play place or rented party room), the client is responsible for ensuring that the booked services to be provided by Starbright Entertainment are permitted at that venue. Additionally, if the venue requires outside vendors to submit a COI (certificate of insurance), the client is responsible for notifying Starbright Entertainment at least 7 days before it is required, so that the COI may be processed.

In cases of extreme weather creating unsafe travel or outdoor conditions, Starbright Entertainment LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking for the safety of our cast members. These decisions will be made at the discretion of Starbright Entertainment LLC. Every effort will be made to reschedule the booking at a mutually agreeable time/day.

Starbright Entertainment LLC and its cast reserve the right to alter or edit the advertised program components to best accommodate your venue, group, and birthday child’s wishes.


This is not a contract to provide childcare. The client and/or child guests’ caregivers remain responsible for all present children at all times.

Clients are responsible for providing a safe environment for Starbright Entertainment LLC cast members. This includes:

No pets are permitted in any areas where cast members may be conducting contracted activities. Please leash, crate, or otherwise secure all animals out of the party activity area.

No weapons, including firearms, are permitted in any areas where cast members may be conducting contracted activities as permitted by the laws of the State of Michigan.

Starbright Entertainment LLC reserves the right for its cast members to immediately exit an event and cancel the booking if an unsafe situation is not immediately resolved. Such conditions include but are not limited to instances of sexual harassment, discriminatory or derogatory language of any type directed at a cast member, violence or threats of violence, including the presence of unsecured firearms or other weapons, violence or threats of violence between guests or toward a cast member, aggressive animals, the occurrence of any illegal activity at the event site, or any other condition or situation that poses a serious safety concern. No refunds will be issued for bookings cancelled due to unsafe event site conditions.

Starbright Entertainment provides all the materials needed for the interactive programming including books, speakers, materials for services such as glitter tattoo application and dazzle face painting, and any purchased customizations such as goodie bags. We do not provide food, cake, paper products, dress up clothes (besides tiaras and crowns for coronation purchases), or decorations.

Client Responsibilities


Tips are always appreciated, but not required and may be added when closing out your balance after your event. If you’d like to give a cash tip, please give it to the character attendant to preserve the magic. It’s Starbright Entertainment’s policy to share tips equally between all non-owner service providers that worked an event. If you would like your gratuity distributed differently, just let us know!

Gratuity


The above named client(s)/organization agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Starbright Entertainment LLC, its representatives, and subcontractors from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or resulting from the contracted activities described in this document, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Indemnified Party. This Agreement shall be effective as of the date first written above and shall remain in effect until completion of the contracted activities. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.

Hold Harmless Agreement


For Events Bookings Lasting 2.5 Hours or Longer

For event bookings 2.5 or more hours, cast members will take breaks as part of the booked service time. Breaks are required for our cast members as follows:

2.5 hour booking- 1 10 min break

3.5 hour booking- 2 10 min breaks

4.5 hour booking - 1 10 min break, 1 20 min break

Bookings over 5 hours will be fulfilled by multiple shifts of cast members with each shift requiring breaks according to the schedule above.

A non-public indoor break area with restroom access is required, so our cast members can keep their character presentation refreshed and ready for your guests!

If Meet and Greet is stationary rather than roaming, the client is responsible for ensuring any visitor line can be accommodated before the end of the booking.
